As the new year approaches we might find ourselves making resolutions. If you do, then you might want to use this poem by Korean Buddhist poet Ko Un as inspiration:
THE WIND
Never beg the wind for mercy
Tall wild lilies and such
scented white lilies and such
one day lilies and such
once all your stems have snapped
produce new buds. It is not too late.
